CEDA Press Release: Funding secured to initiate shared meat process facility on the Palouse
The Clearwater Economic Development Association will receive $15,000 to support a concept design plan for the development of the Greater Palouse Slaughter Facility, a small-scale, shared slaughter facility.
Funding comes from the United States Department of Agriculture's Rural Business Enterprise Grant program.
CEDA wrote the grant application for this funding and will administer the grant on behalf of Greater Palouse Meat Producers.
The GPMP is a group of local people dedicated to establishing a USDA-inspected facility that will serve local producers and consumers, according to the University of Idaho website.
